Operative Leading Bastion

Squads decided to recon and potentially assault Arnay. Bastion travelled into Raider territory to recon possible locations for the secret entrance into Arnay. After clearing several areas we found no evidence of an entrance on the eastern side. Bastion moved South and provided recon photos of known enemy positions and patrols. While providing intel, Fortress came under heavy fire. Bastion moved to the southern gate to provide support. After heavy contact we pushed into the point. While calling off mortar fire directed onto our position from Fortress, we suffered several casualties and were taken prisoner. After Bastion was recovered we moved to the Mosque with Fortress to provide support and encountered a hostage situation. Several members were incapacitated and taken hostage. After a standoff Bastion was rescued. The hostage taker was identified as a former Cambridge Medical Student. Bastion Squad recovered vehicles from nearby and travelled to Dola. After linking up with Fortress and Aegis we decided to return to MOB. Fortress travelled via Naudeh to speak to the elder. Bastion stopped in Landay and spoke to Omar. Omar informed us about the hostage takers origins and identified the unknown individual Fortress reported might have been the Commander. We believe the Commander is still at large.
